Can You Get A Break On Your Property Taxes In Nashville?

The short answer is YES! If you are age 65 or older, a disabled veteran or surviving spouse, or disable with limited income in Tennessee,  you may qualify for a tax break through one of the following programs:

Tax Relief Program: To qualify, you must own and live on the property as your primary residence, and the total income of the owners must not exceed $29,860.

Tax Freeze Program: To qualify, you must own and live on the property as your primary residence, and the total income of the owners must not exceed $42,620.

Property Tax Relief for Disabled Veterans and Surviving Spouses: To qualify, you must own and live on the property as your primary residence.

Applications are made accepted at the Metro Trustee’s Office, and the deadline to apply is April 6, 2020.  Contact them for more information at 615-862-6330.
