Nashville Oktoberfest 2017 October 5-8
Nashville’s Oldest & Largest Festival & America’s 2nd Largest Oktoberfest! 4 days of German beer, food, music and TONS of things to do. Join 300,000 people for the greatest Oktoberfest that Nashville has ever seen!
Oktoberfest 5K Bier Run 2017 – October 7
The 2017 course is certified by the Nashville Striders and will be their biggest 5K ever! 1500 runners can’t be wrong! 100% or proceeds benefit the Historic Germantown Neighborhood Organization, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
Tootsie’s 57th Anniversary Birthday Bash – October 10
Tootsie’s 57th Anniversary Birthday Bash will feature Cole Swindell. Cole will join a great list of artists taking the stage to say, “Happy Birthday” to the most famous honky-tonk in the world, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. October 10th is also opening night for the Nashville Predators. The Nashville Predator’s Player Walk will happen at 3:50 on the Birthday Bash Stage.

29th Annual Southern Festival of Books – October 13-15
The Southern Festival of Books is a free, three-day celebration of the written word that annually attracts 25,000 attendees to meet their favorite authors and become familiar with talented new writers. The Festival has become one of the most popular literary events in the country, as guests travel to Nashville to experience an abundance of authors and their books, along with food, entertainment and culture.
Pigs for Kids : A Benefit for The Sing Me a Story Foundation – October 14
This is a fundraising event for The Sing Me a Story Foundation, a Tennessee not-for-profit that provides music for children in need. The event will be a pig roast, family picnic style event with live music and more!
Nashville Whiskey Festival – October 14
The 6th annual Nashville Whiskey Festival Grand Tasting will take place on October 14, 2017, from 6:30-10pm in the Grand Ballroom of the Omni Nashville Hotel.
2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – October 14
Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease!

Autism Speaks Walk is the world’s largest autism fundraising event dedicated to improving the lives of people with autism. 11th Annual Law Enforcement Talent Showcase – October 24
The Metro Nashville Police Department has partnered with the Nashville Children’s Alliance for the last 10 years to present the Law Enforcement Talent Showcase. The Law Enforcement Talent Showcase was created to help support local non-profit organizations that provide services to family and children and Davidson County, while also promoting awareness and education about the MNPD. The Nashville Children’s Alliance is a non-profit organization that provides free services for children and families who have been the victims of sexual and/or physical abuse. They work closely with the MNPD and other partner agencies in the fight against child abuse.
A Very Very Haunted Halloween 4 Southern Girls Rock Camp – October 27
It’s the SECOND ANNUAL Very Haunted Halloween benefiting Southern Girls Rock & Roll Camp! $15 admission goes to Rock Camp for Scholarships and includes entry to The Most Haunted House in History taking over the Fort Houston backyard.
